Product information

The intestinal flora in detail: a comprehensive overview

The gut is part of the digestive tract and is responsible for the absorption of nutrients from food into the body. It plays a crucial role in health, as it not only absorbs nutrients, but also influences the immune system and plays an important role in the balance of the gut microbiota. The gut flora, also known as the gut microbiome, comprises all microorganisms - including bacteria, fungi and viruses - in the human gut. Its role is of crucial importance for health and general well-being. Factors such as an unhealthy diet, medication (especially antibiotics) and an unfavourable lifestyle can affect the intestinal flora. A disturbed intestinal flora increases the risk of chronic diseases, digestive problems and a weakened immune system, especially after antibiotic therapies.

The diverse tasks of the intestinal flora range from preventing infections and allergies to supporting the immune system and preventing various health problems. An intact intestinal flora is therefore crucial for well-being and long-term health. It is essential to maintain the intestinal flora and rebuild it if necessary. Children are often born with a disturbed intestinal flora, which emphasises the importance of early care. The versatile functions of the intestinal flora make it a central element for general well-being.

Liquid intestinal bacteria vs. capsules or powder

The innovation of our liquid intestinal flora probiotic is that it is a product with live, i.e. active intestinal bacteria. These are immediately colony-forming, i.e. they multiply independently in the intestine, just like the bacteria that occur naturally in our intestines. Powder or capsule products contain inactive or even dead bacteria. Inactive bacterial strains (as in our Darmflora 30 AKTIV with 30 different bacterial strains) only slowly become active again on contact with liquids, while dead bacteria are naturally neither active nor able to multiply.

The versatile functions of the intestinal flora in the organism

The intestinal flora plays a central role in vital bodily functions. Bacteria support digestion, break down food components and supply intestinal cells with energy. The barrier function of the intestinal flora ensures the elimination of harmful substances. The intestinal flora also plays a key role in vitamin production, particularly vitamin B and vitamin K. The latter is produced in the large intestine, where probiotic bacteria have a supporting effect. These diverse tasks emphasise the importance of intestinal flora for health and well-being.

Understanding the close connection between intestinal flora and the immune system

The close interaction between the intestinal flora and the immune system plays a crucial role. Beneficial bacteria inhibit harmful bacteria and stimulate the immune system to produce antibodies. These antibodies reduce the risk of infection. An intact intestinal flora contributes to the formation of new antibodies and can prevent food allergies. Healthy intestinal flora not only regulates digestion, but also influences the production of immune cells. The close connection between intestinal health and the immune system is particularly evident in the defence against pathogens.

Practical tips for promoting gut health in everyday life

It is possible to promote intestinal health in everyday life by making simple changes to your habits. A healthy diet is crucial for your gut. Fibre-rich foods such as vegetables, fruit, wholegrain products and pulses promote intestinal flora and ensure good digestion. Probiotic foods such as yoghurt and fermented vegetables as well as prebiotic foods such as garlic and bananas support healthy gut bacteria. Probiotics are live microorganisms that promote gut health, while prebiotics are non-living substances that support the growth and activity of healthy gut bacteria.

In addition, it is important to drink enough water and reduce sugar consumption, as excessive sugar consumption can affect the intestinal flora. Healthy fats, for example from nuts and avocados, also contribute to intestinal health. With a conscious diet, you can actively improve your gut health and promote a balanced gut microbiome. Stress reduction also plays a key role. Stress has a negative impact on gut health, which is why relaxation techniques such as yoga or meditation are helpful. Exercise also promotes intestinal motility and contributes to general health. With these simple measures, everyone can make a contribution to gut health in everyday life and benefit from a balanced gut microbiome in the long term. Our gut bacteria can also help to improve your well-being.

How long does it take to notice improvements with probiotics?

The effect of probiotics on wellbeing can vary from person to person and it takes time to notice improvements in wellbeing. The effectiveness of probiotics can be noticeable after about one to two weeks of regular intake. However, the individual timeframe for improvement depends on various factors, including the initial state of the gut flora prior to the bacterial treatment. The dosage of probiotics and the body's specific response also play a role.
Continuity is crucial for optimal results. Some people may notice a change after a short time, while for others it may take longer.

Effective gut rehabilitation after antibiotics: The role of gut bacteria in regeneration

Taking antibiotics can affect the intestinal flora, as not only harmful but also beneficial bacteria are eliminated. This can lead to symptoms such as diarrhoea, constipation, flatulence and abdominal pain. To restore gut health after a course of antibiotics, it can be useful to support the gut with natural gut bacteria.

Effects of disturbed intestinal flora: How probiotics can provide support

Consequences of disorders: Disturbed intestinal flora, characterised by an altered bacterial composition, is associated with various diseases. These include digestive problems such as flatulence, constipation and diarrhoea, chronic inflammatory bowel diseases, allergy risk in childhood, obesity and heart failure. The exact mechanisms of the interaction between intestinal flora and diseases have not yet been fully researched. However, there are indications of complex connections, including with autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis

Darmflora Probi Forte EM 24

Sehr gutes Produkt....
