Compensate for spermidine deficiency: The natural substance for increased well-being
Spermidine is an endogenous, natural substance that occurs in every human cell. This natural substance owes its name to the discovery that it is found in particularly high concentrations in male seminal fluid. Spermidine is also found in various foods, but can also be produced by our intestines. Despite our own production, around two thirds of the spermidine we need must still be obtained from food. The ability to produce spermidine decreases, especially with age, and care should be taken to ensure sufficient intake.Even foods containing spermidine, such as mature cheese, soya beans or mushrooms, usually only contain small amounts of spermidine nowadays. It is often difficult to estimate the exact amount in these foods and therefore it is not possible to supply them precisely. So if you want to ensure a sufficient and accurate spermidine intake, you can use food supplements with a standardised spermidine content.
Our spermidine is obtained from wheat germ from Germany.

Questions and answers
Can I take spermidine if I have a histamine intolerance?
Spermidine is considered a histamine liberator, i.e. spermidine can stimulate histamine production. Depending on how severe the histamine intolerance is, the consumption of spermidine should be avoided.
Can spermidine be taken in the case of advanced coeliac disease?
Our spermidine products are considered gluten-free, but the detection limit for gluten is normally 20 ppm (parts per million). This means that if gluten is present in the product below this measured value, it can no longer be detected using standard measuring methods. Officially, our spermidine products are therefore considered gluten-free, as they are below this measured value of 20 ppm, BUT in the case of severe coeliac disease, we would advise against giving spermidine due to this uncertainty regarding the residual (albeit minimal) amount of gluten in the product. Even the smallest amounts of gluten can have negative effects in severe coeliac disease and hinder recovery.
