Astragalus, auch unter dem Namen Tragant oder Bocksdorn bekannt, gehört zu den 10 wichtigsten Pflanzen in der traditionell chinesischen Medizin (TCM). Vor allem die Wurzeln werden seit Jahrhunderten traditionell verwendet.

Ursprünglich stammt Astragalus aus dem chinesischen Grenzgebiet zur Mongolei. Aber die Pflanzenfamilie ist bei uns wohlbekannt: Astragalus gehört - wie die Erbse- zu den Hülsenfrüchtlern. Die krautige Pflanze umfasst circa 2000 verschiedene Arten. Die von uns verwendete und bedeutendste Astragalus-Art nennt sich Astragalus membranaceus. Optisch ist der Astragalus an seinen vielfarbigen, paarigen Schmetterlingsblüten zu erkennen, von dem hier ausschließlich die wertvolle Wurzelknolle verwendet wird. Sie wird nach der Ernte getrocknet und im Anschluss in einem schonenden Verfahren zu Pulver vermahlen. Das auf diese Weise entstehende Rohkostprodukt eignet sich sowohl als Zutat in Smoothies als auch zum Einstreuen in Speisen. Der Geschmack erinnert an Spargelspitzen oder Nusspulver.

Unser Astragalus-Wurzel-Pulver stammt aus biologischem Anbau und ist 100% naturrein.
